Each time you change your lenses, the residual electro-static charges at the sensor acts like a magnet. This magnet attracts pratically invisible dust and particles from the surrounding air. These attatch themselves to the sensor/filter surface. With time and numerous lens changes, moisture groups the particles to unwanted dark-spotting on your photos.

Sure, most current dSLRs offer their internal sensor cleaning by vibrating or shaking the sensor/filter and collecting the particles at the bottom of the body. The second worst thing you can do is to blow into the body in a grave attempt to remove any particles from the surface of your sensor/filter. Absolute worst thing you can do is to use a wipe or cotton swab to remove the particles yourself. Those disturbing dark spots take time to clone out in your photo editing software. On the average, a spotted photo can take up to 15 minutes to "clean-up".

Our trained specialist will first perform a function check to ensure that your dSLR is operating properly. The protocol will be confirmed from yourself as well as the Schmith Digital specialist. Once the cleaning procedure has started, it will take between 15 to 30 minutes. During this period we suggest visiting a local Café for a hot coffee or a cool beer. When you pick up your dSLR a second protocol will be completed, for your security. *Extreme cleaning is for those dSLRs with excessive dark-spotting, this will be determined during the first protocol. Schmith Digital is not responsible for damaged dSLRs due to previous status or not fully charged battery packs.
